GANADERIA
Coming Soon
This hand-crafted linocut scales-up Argentina's Ganaderia or cattle-raising postage stamps, from 1936.
This piece is part of a series baked up to experiment with and test my printmaking skills, imaginatively entitled Stamps. Each stamp has been meticulously captured, cleaned-up, and carved into linoleum, before being handprinted onto Chinese rice paper made from mulberry bark fibre, which mimics the delicate nature and gently woven texture of many historic stamps. Some details may be lost, some may be found, but each comes with a new appreciation for this craft.
